the dark side of being a rebel

... i wake up every morning from what feels like a bad dream

(its not fair on love that i am sad
But yes, i am. Very very sad)

I wake up every morning scared
And i want to wake up at home to know it was a dream
That everything is ok
But its not...
The dream continues and life thrusts me into strange scenarios
And my inner being keeps shifting in sleep
Wanting to wake up tomorrow
At home, to know everything is ok...

I burnt a lot of bridges and did a lot of running away
So sure of what i was doing
Until i realise, like today, that there are in fact a lot of roads to walk on
But the only road that feeds your soul is the one leading home
And for me, there is none.

I know this will past
And like all other times, it won't feel so bad
But for all the rebels out there
Who shine with the light that burns from within
There will be a dark night like this in your life too
When life seems to be the biggest question
And the meaning you sought from it
Would seem stuck in the labyrinth your own self

The self that is so complex and yet so beautiful
That has the potential to expand itself beyond the apparent world
That has touched lives to make moments in future beautiful
That in the most precious of moments has made you believe
That yes, it is the work of the only Master we all know

But this is not the time....
This time, at least for me, is when the Master seems only to be waiting
Watching me from a distant
As i squirm through this dark night
Waiting for the first rays of sun to fall
He seems to be watching... only
For me to unravel the answers to my own questions
And i'm sure they don't need too much finding
The answers lie around me... cruelly obvious...

As i read my own lines, i feel ike an institution
Like the many that we fight against
One that has grown used to a few truths in life
And wants to live by them
And newer truths are hard to learn
As they shake the foundations of the old

And i'm not budging because i am old and want to be comfortable
But like the road i've chosen, comfort is not part of my constitution
I am meant to be a seeker and if i've forgotten the road that i am to be on
Life teaches me, in easy and hard ways, to get back on it.

But its a time when all choices are questions
And you ask what's driven you so far...
Were you always scared?
Wanting to wake up to a dream
Whereas you've been sleeping through life itself?
Is it time to wake up now?

If yes, I am a new born
I don't know how to go about this anymore
"Forget the inner being and its need for a home
There is no home
Brave the night, got out into the jungle and feed
Live on your instincts and be very careful all time
For there are hunters who would even hunt you down
And never let go of your guard
For if you do, they will know of this being inside you
That is so vulnerable to harm..."
